At least this year we got the World Cup. I know soccer isn't huge here in the US but its still something fun to watch.
this is the bad time of the year for being a sports fan. baseball isn't even at the All-Star break. NBA's done the NHL is done NFL is doing their OTAs. nothing really worth watching on TV right now

@jake. Yeah, futbol was the first sport I started playing and watching. I mainly keep up with premier and la liga. World Cup matches be too unpredictable to try and bet on them but definitely fun watching

My vote would be US Open (Golf) because it’s a quick 4 day tournament versus a months long World Cup but only if we get at least 6 interested
I feel like we need to run another pool here in this chat. We haven’t had one since March Madness. Problem is, we’d have to do the World Cup or the US Open since the major sports are in the finals or off season. Anyone interested in either of those if I put it together? I’d come up with a scoring system and explain all rules in advance

Yeah the Spurs were only using 10-15 seconds of shot clock. They should have been using 16-20 seconds each time up to shorten the game by a few positions. You take higher percentage shots and it’s enough to make the difference. It really did look like they were trying to lose it
I get the boxing out but I think Wemby needed to be in the paint. the talking heads were blasting the spurs for all the 3 point attempts with too much time left on the shot clock. I didn't notice that
Them not boxing out was so stupid. In the replay you can see, I think Harper jumping for the rebound. The problem was OG was already in the process of tipping it in....
His reach is so significant that he can force really difficult shots and you know Brunson is mostly taking that shot. I don’t hate the decision to put him on the perimeter there. Especially since Brunson has been so clutch. The thing is, you have to box out. It’s such a fundamental thing. There’s no need to jump for a rebound when you can legally through your body into Anunoby coming down the lane. Or, you sub in Kornet there to play defense and get an extra big body down low. If they make the shot you call timeout and sub him back out to play offense.
can someone explain this to me. what was wimby doing all the way past the three-point line guarding Brunson on that final shot? why is a 7'5 Center guarding their shooting guard? if he was in the center of the key where he belonged he grabs that rebound and that tip does not go in. why are they allowing him to act like he is a guard/forward? say what you want about Fox but wimby cost them that game
